About Zaje

Researcher. Author. Cycle-Breaker.

“Society is currently in a state of ‘sociogenic’ disorder anchored by inherited patterns, toxic environments, and a pathocracy that rewards survival over thriving. My work is the interruption of that cycle.”

The Vision

Zajé Brown-Richardson is an author, psychology researcher, floral designer, and integrative wellness educator whose work centers on one core belief:
Lasting change doesn’t start with discipline. It starts with alignment.

We live in a world that is often described as “mentally ill,” but Zajé sees it more accurately as a system of unexamined habits. Whether through the physical cues of our workspace or the internal scripts handed down through our lineage, we are often living out stories we didn’t write. Zajé articulates what is happening during these times of inner transition so that people can move with awareness instead of urgency.

The Methodology: The Happy Habits Method™

Zajé is the architect of the BREAK Method™, a practical, data-driven framework rooted in the science of habit development. Drawing on her undergrad research and her mastery of the 66-day transformation cycle, she shows others how to:

  • Identify the environmental and ancestral “stress-cues” that anchor negative loops.
  • Rewrite the neural pathways through intentional, small-scale action.
  • Establish a new “subconscious automatic” that aligns with their highest purpose.

The Difference: Lived Mastery

Everything inside the Happy Habits framework has been lived before it was written. Zajé’s authority doesn’t just come from a textbook.
It comes from a hard-won victory over poverty, depression, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

She speaks to those who are done with systems that don’t work anymore. As a mother, wife, and student of the human mind, she understands that healing isn’t linear and becoming isn’t always comfortable.
But she also knows that “Small is not small. Small is the whole thing.”.

The Three Pillars of the Work

1. As Knowledge: The Literature

The Happy Habits book and resources offer practical, spiritual guidance for understanding your inherited patterns and building new ones rooted in love and celebration.

2. As Environment: Biophillic Design

Zajé consults with high-stakes organizations to remediate “toxic environments.” By auditing physical stress-cues and implementing biophilic design, she transforms workspaces into clinical tools for emotional regulation and structural resilience.

3. As Sound: The Frequency

Co-created with her husband and partner, Seafus “S.Muzic” Richardson, Zajé produces music and sonic landscapes that hold space for feeling and processing when words aren’t enough.
